Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals Welcomes Stacy Koron, Machael Heise to Leadership Team

The Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals welcomes Stacy Koron, Ethos’ Head of Compliance, and Machael Heise, Insurance Product Manager, to their leadership team.

At Ethos, they are “constantly looking for ways to raise the ‘status quo’ and lead the industry on what life insurance for everyone looks like.” That’s why they’re pleased to announce that their own Stacy Koron, Ethos’ Head of Compliance, and Machael Heise, their Insurance Product Manager, have been “elected to important leadership positions within the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP) to do just that.”

Stacy will “become AICP’s National Vice President, taking over as President in 2023, and Machael will remain as the organization’s Western Chapter Financial Liaison.”

As members of the organization for compliance in the industry, Stacy and Machael plan “to focus on the evolution of the insurance industry within AICP, including expanding the scope of AICP’s traditional members, including more insurtechs and expanding upon AICP’s college outreach and scholarship programs to inspire a passion for a career in insurance.”

Koron remarked:

“AICP is a great organization that has helped me throughout my career in insurance. I’m glad to be able to give back as Vice President and as President next year. Ethos’ leadership has shown nothing but support throughout my involvement with AICP, echoing Ethos’ dedication to a culture of compliance.”

Early on, Ethos realized “the need for strong compliance professionals to enable the business to continue to grow and innovate.”

With that goal in mind, Ethos has “established a compliance team with industry expertise and the ability to problem solve in the rapidly evolving insurtech space.”

Additionally, Ethos’ General Counsel, Porter Nolan, was “named to the Fintech Editorial Advisory Board by Law360.”

As noted by its management, Ethos is a technology company that “makes getting life insurance easier, faster, and better for everyone.” They leverage deep technology and data science in their mission “to protect the next million families by streamlining the life insurance process so it’s more accessible and convenient.”

They’ve issued “billions” in coverage each month and “eliminated the traditional barriers, ushering the industry into the modern age.” This full-stack technology platform is “the backbone of family financial health.”

Ethos has “raised over $400 million from Sequoia Capital, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Accel, and Google Ventures (GV).”
