Oru Space, a firm which focuses on supporting coworking, wellbeing, food and events, while nurturing an ecosystem of inclusive, vibrant community, across multi-faceted, accessible and dynamic spaces, has raised £454,849 of its £450,000 target from 161 investors (at the time of writing) through its crowdfunding campaign, carried out via Seedrs.

Oru, meaning ‘for one’ in Tamil, cultivates “connection.” Oneness is described as “the essence that sustains and drives our regenerative culture, through a series of interconnected decision making processes.”

Oru Space is where coworking and wellbeing and food “go seamlessly.”

Located in London, United Kingdom, and incorporated in December 2018, the firm operates in the Food & Beverage sectors (Mixed Digital/Non-Digital Mixed B2B/B2C).

Oru explains that through coworking, wellbeing, food and events, they nurture “an ecosystem of inclusive, vibrant community, across multi-faceted, accessible and dynamic spaces.”

As noted in the update, sustainability and purpose are “at the core of every action, as they innovate through creative collision and collaboration to regenerate high streets, build social initiatives and support well-being.”

They claim to take “a long-term view for economic success alongside the health of our community and environment.”

Monetization strategy

Oru has four revenue streams:

  • Coworking – Hot Desking, Fixed Desks & Private Offices
  • Wellbeing – Wellness classes, workshops & events
  • Food – Daytime cafe and evening restaurant Trinco
  • Spa/Bar/Events – due in 2024.

The four areas work together seamlessly, “crafting a multi-faceted hub designed to nurture collaboration and creativity.”

The diverse income stream allows “for regular fixed income from coworking to be paired with transactional revenue from wellness and hospitality, resulting in four independent, reliable income streams, both B2B and B2C, that interact with one another.”
