Locavore “Fast Good” Food: PUR etc. Raises Equity on WiSeed

Pure etc cuisine

The Strasbourg-based PUR etc. has listed its equity crowdfunding campaign on the French platform WiSeed.  Setting its targeted raise at €600,000, PUR etc.’s funding is currently in progress.

PUR etc. is a locavore “Fast Good” food company, which offers locally sourced and seasonally grown foods prepared with the TLC one expects only from homemade goods. PUR etc.’s chefs and cooks aim to replicate the taste and emotional connectedness one generally Pur etcassociates with beloved homemade foods.

The PUR etc. brand was established in 2010 as a new kind of restaurant, with a short supply chain, and healthy, high quality and sustainable products.  True to its name, PUR etc. not only uses organics products and GMO-free locally grown items, the company also purposely recycles: deposits are made on reusable and returnable jars.

With two restaurants in Strasbourg, PUR etc. is developing the next stages of its network through potential licensed partners.

The funding raised on WiSeed will be used to finance the construction of kitchen laboratories, recruit additional licensed partners, further establish the PUR etc. network and open new branch outlets.

According to the campaign, PUR etc. has been the recipient of the following awards:

  • 1er lauréat du concours organisé par Yago en 2011
  • Lauréat national du Concours “Talents de la création d’entreprise”
  • Lauréat du “Trophée Concept B.R.A Tendance restauration 2012”
  • Lauréat du trophée WiSeed / Les échos en 2013

Vincent ViaudThe PUR etc. team brings together its two founders, industrial engineer and Président Vincent Viaud and Business School grad Directeur Général Héloise Chalvignac, who created the concept four years ago. Elizabeth Frick, the Head Chef, joined PUR etc. in late 2012. Eight additional teammates work in PUR etc.’s two Strasbourg restaurants. Strasbourg, an area noted for its fine cuisine, is the capital and principal city of the Alsace region in eastern France near the German border and is the official seat of the European Parliament.

For mostly positive peer reviews, check out Trip Advisor’s reviews of  PUR etc. Grand Rue and PUR etc. Place Saint-Etienne.   One reviewer, AlexzMely echoed similar glowing reviews:

“I stayed in Strasbourg for 2 weeks, and in this time I always used to have lunch/ supper at PUR etc. This fast-healthy-food restaurant is placed in the city center and it’s very cosy and nice. You can have your meal there or take it away just paying a 1 euro deposit for the jars. Then they give it to you back once you have returned the jars. People who work there are super nice, and will help you finding your fav dish. There’s a quite good choice of meals, raging from vegetarians to meat, and plus you can make your own dish choosing a base on which you can add whatever you like.  For example, if you have a side dish or a soup, you can add chicken or sausage or eggs and a topping like roasted onions or toasted breads etc.. Everything is delicious and tastes like homemade food! You feel like having something healthy and true! I loved the desserts, like fromage blanc or the pear-chocolate muffin, or the mini cookies. Wow, I’m missing so much the desserts: I really recommend to jump there if you’re around!”

Pure etc missionInfectious enthusiasm should enable PUR etc. to spread its brand more easily.   Registered WiSeed investors may look forward to continued updates regarding PUR etc. on the company’s platform. The equity crowdfunding campaign is scheduled to close early next week.
