Gulf Wealth Management (GWM) has asked Crowd Valley to assist in the development of a customer facing investment platform plus back office features for its digital wealth site targeting investors in the Arabian Gulf region. GWM has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs to raise a minimum amount of £600,000 in convertible securities. Prior to this, Bahrain-based Gulf Ventures Corporation (GVC) acquired an 8.3% stake in GWM as part of the Company’s private round of fundraising. GWM expects to do a Series A funding round shortly and then a public listing on the Qatar Ventures Market.
GWM is described as the first digital wealth management e-commerce platform focused on the investment needs of GCC (political and economic alliance of six Middle Eastern countries: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman) investors. GWM’s objective is to link, through an online platform, the high net worth, affluent and mass affluent individuals in the GCC region with first class international institutional asset managers. Inspired by Wealthfront in the US and Nutmeg in the UK, GWM is planning to introduce an international e-commerce business model in the Gulf region.
