My Mini Factory, an independent curated social media platform for 3D printable objects, has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs to raise 500,000 for expansion and new business strategy.
The platform, which was founded in June 2013, currently has a user base of 80,000 registered users and is noted to be one of the most popular independent curated platforms for 3d printable objects. The site shared:
“MyMiniFactory is a curated, user generated content platform. Each published 3D model has undergone a rigorous review process, including a test print. This curation is core to MyMiniFactory’s business model, where quality matters more than quantity.”
Notably, MyMiniFactory facilitates the interaction between the users and the 3D designers. It makes innovative tools available to its community, such as MMF Tipping, MMF TV, MMF Connect, and the MMF Store.
During a recent interview with 3D Print, Sylvain Preumont, Founder and Executive chairman of MyMiniFactory, revealed:
“This is an incredibly exciting time for MyMiniFactory and we cannot wait to see this campaign become a success. The platform has gone from strength to strength over the last two years and this is an amazing new phase in our journey.”
Romain Kidd, CEO of MyMiniFactory, commented:

The media outlet revealed that the company’s pre-money valuation, which sits at £9,439,890 (approximately $14,491,000). It is a 5.03% stake in the business as the business seeks to raise a total of £500,000 (approximately $767,500).
Since its launch, the campaign has secured over £340,000. If it reaches the initial goal, MyMiniFactory will implement a three-pronged growth strategy, which is set to attract more well-known designers.
