Adding more excitement towards Crowdfunder UK’s Crowdcube initiative, managing director of the reward-based crowdfunding, Phil Geraghty, announced Creative England has offered up £200,000 towards the campaign.
Geraghty shared on Wednesday:
“A huge thank you to Creative England who were one of the first to pledge on our equity fundraise on Crowdcube! They’re investing £200k in Crowdfunder to strengthen the innovative partnership we have developed. Creative England have led the way distributing match funds through crowdfunding – and now have agreed to work with Crowdfunder across the next three years to raise £1million for creative industries projects.”
Geraghty also noted that Creative England has established a partnership with Crowdfunder, successfully piloting the distribution of £100,000 of match fund money to up and coming filmmakers through its innovative iShorts campaign. The company will now be looking to provide match funding to amplify funds pledged by members of the public – with a long term aim to raise £1million for creative industry projects in three years.
