This week, YouTube sensation and anti-bullying activist, Lizzie Velasquez, announced that her Kickstarter project A Brave Heart is now available on DVD through Amazon.
A BRAVE HEART follows the inspiring journey of 63-pound Lizzie from cyberbullying victim to modern-day inspiration. Born with a rare syndrome that prevents her from gaining weight, Velasquez was first bullied as a child in school for looking different. As a teenager, she was bullied even more prominently online when she discovered a YouTube video labeling her “The World’s Ugliest Woman.”
Director of the film, Sara Bordo, previously stated:
“Lizzie’s survival of being bullied so publicly and her incredible torch of self-worth and positivity is inspirational in a time when too many children and teens are struggling with the same issues. The movie will show how Lizzie is dedicating her life to making a true difference and inspiring others to support each other, online and off.”
