On Monday, UK’s tech startup, MindGenius, launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube to raise £1 million as it prepares to debut its new online solution, Barvas.
The company, which has been actively operating for 7 years, has sold its desktop product to over 90,000 users in more than 120 countries.
“MindGenius aims to address the most significant challenges in project management and delivery to improve overall project success through online collaboration and communication via our new SaaS product Barvas.”
MindGenius also reported that Barvas had over 1000 users following an active beta trial. The new app is noted to be an online end-to-end project management solution:
Barvas’ advantages include:
- Alignment with business goals and key stakeholders considered, documented and tracked throughout the process.
- Offers an online workspace that provides user guidance.
- Includes mapping components that enables efficient planning.
Sharing details about the campaign, Ashley Marron, CEO of MindGenius, stated in a recent interview:
“We chose to crowdfund MindGenius in a bid to find investors who not only provide financial support, but will also add to our database of customers and contribute to, and benefit from, the overall success of the business. Initiative uptake of the beta program has been promising with over 1,000 users, plus significant interest from users of MindGenius.”
Along with Barvas development and support, MindGenius will use the fund to strengthen its commercial operation in the UK, implementing a brand building and communication strategy with Arena Partners, and establish a sales office in the U.S.
Since its launch, the campaign has successfully secured over £160,000 from nearly 100 investors. MindGenius is offering 14.69% of equity to those who invest in the campaign.
