Brief: iDonate Announces Peer-to-Peer Support for Nonprofits

Charity fundraising website, iDonate, announced on Friday the launch of its new peer-to-peer support that is dedicated to nonprofits. This new service reportedly enables organizations to support their causes by creating individual, team or event-centered crowdfunding programs that tap into personal networks.

Ray Gary, CEO of iDonate, stated:

iDonateWe’ve found that the majority of nonprofits possess an underlying level of trepidation when embarking into the world of P2P software. There is a fear that when put into the hands of the advocates, the nonprofit will lose brand consistency and standards. With iDonate’s integrated P2P, nonprofits can empower donors to raise money on their own without the risk of losing control over their brand identity. The program templates allow for easy customization per donor, while keeping standards and messaging protected.”

The new feature is set up in three steps:

  1. Nonprofits may set up programs with easy-to-use templates that are customized per organization.
  2. Organization supporters may set up their own pages within the program that the nonprofit has designed.
  3. Nonprofits may use the iDonate dashboard to teach fundraising and engagement success.
