Last month, Crowdcube success and fashion brand, ILoveGorgeous, announced it has officially launched its first ever boys collection. Earlier this spring, the company debuted its campaign on the equity crowdfunding platform seeking £300,000 for the line. During its initiative’s run, the brand raised nearly £700,000 thanks to over 250 investors.
The company announced:
“After 10 years of making beautiful clothes for gorgeous girls we are excited to introduce our much anticipated first boy’s collection and reveal our new brand name WILD & GORGEOUS. We are delighted to present our very first Wild & Gorgeous collection of beautiful clothes for wildly gorgeous boys and girls.”
ILoveGorgeous was founded in 2006 and previously offered clothes and accessories for girls ages 0-15. Its two shops in Notting Hill Gate and Primrose Hill have an average value of in-store orders at £93. The company currently has more than 160 stockists worldwide, which includes Selfridges, Liberty, Harrods, and Barney’s NYC. ILoveGorgeous has also won various awards in its 10-run, including the following:
Little London Awards: Best Children’s Boutique 2015- Smallish Awards: Best Fashion Designer 2015
- Baby & Me: Best Independent Store 2014
- Junior Awards: Best Fashion Designer 2012
Speaking about the new lines’ plans, co-founder of ILoveGorgeous, Sophie Worthington, previously stated:
“When we initially started thinking about adding in a boy’s collection and the next phase of growth of our business the first thing we did was ask our customers if it was something they would want. The resounding answer was yes! We are confident that there is a huge gap in the market for a boyswear collection with the same design aesthetic as our girls range.”
