Tipple Box, an award-winning Edinburgh cocktail and premium company, has recently launched a campaign on equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube to raise £80,000 as it prepares for expansion. Launched in 2014, Tripple Box delivers cocktail and premium small-batch spirit boxes to customers’ doors. The company revealed:
“We believe making cocktails at home is challenging; left over spirits, conflicting recipes and eccentric garnishes. At Tipple Box, we know cocktails. Tipple Box is a cocktail and premium craft spirit experience. We provide cocktail kit and batch-spirit sampling boxes. These contain curated recipes, premium spirits and ingredients to help our customers make delicious cocktails at home or sip exciting tipples. Customers have the option to subscribe monthly or purchase an individual box through our online marketplace.”
With almost 10,000 boxes delivered across the UK, the company has notably tripled its sale within the first year of trading. It has also been named the UK’s number one cocktail kit by The Independent. Sharing details about the company and its funding initiative, Tipple Box Founder Sonny Charles stated:
“I’ve grown Tipple Box almost by myself up until this point, but now it’s time to expand. None of what we’ve achieved would have been possible without our amazing customers and supporters who have helped us build something really special. We are still growing and I want to take Tipple Box to the next level as I know we can build something extraordinary.”
Funds from the Crowdcube campaign will be used to support the growth of the business, allowing the introduction of new products and adding essential team members. The initiative is set to close mid-October.
