London-based Tåpped Birch Water has successfully secured its initial £200,000 funding target on Seedrs. The company launched the initiative earlier this month and has so far attracted more than 180 investors. As previously reported, Tåpped makes natural, healthy hydrating drinks from birch water, which is the sap that flows inside birch trees. The company revealed:
“Drinking birch sap is a centuries old Nordic tradition; every spring Nordic folk have enjoyed birch water as a rejuvenating tonic; it’s also been consumed for a range of health benefits. We’re making the natural wonder of birch water available to a wider audience.”
Tåpped currently offers 3 birch water drinks, which can be found in more than 250 UK stores such as Boots, Wholefoods, Planet Organic, As Nature Intended, Selfridge, and even through online retailers (Orcado, Amazon, and Abel & Cole). Tåpped also launched in 92 Sainsbury stores last month and is now available in more than 50 stores in Europe, primarily in Netherlands, Sweden, and Finland. Tåpped’s products are the following:
- Pure Organic – 100% pure premium quality Organic Birch Water
- Apple & Root Ginger – a blend of birch water and Not From Concentrate (NFC) juices
- Bilberry & Lingonberry -a blend of birch water and typically Nordic NFC juices
Tåpped Co-Founder Paul Lederer recently shared:
“Having expanded our distribution base for Tåpped this year, now is the time for us to invest further in marketing so we can raise awareness, trial and consumption of birch water.”
Tåpped’s equity crowdfunding campaign is set to close later this summer.
