Less than two years after completing its first successful Crowdcube campaign, Cool Cold Brew, a UK-based healthier chilled coffee drinks brand, has returned to the equity crowdfunding platform to raise a minimum of £100,000.
As previously reported, Cool Cold Brew was launched in 2010 by founder, Joe Devereux-Kelly, to create a range of healthier, no added sugar chilled coffee drinks to the market. The company’s range includes:
- Black: A clean and refreshing natural and sugar-free chilled equivalent of an Americano.
- Milk: A smooth and refreshing low fat and no added sugar combination of cold brew coffee and British semi-skimmed milk.
- Chocolate: Adding a hint of cocoa to the Milk flavor, this Chocolate flavor helps the Mocha meet the summer with low fat and no refined sugars.
- Coconut: Vegan approved, 100% natural super Coconutty cold brew containing no added sugar.
The products each appeal to different types of coffee drinkers such as sugar-free, unsweetened, sweetened and dairy-free. The company noted that the cold brews are made using specialty grade Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee and our Black and Coconut flavors are both Vegan Society approved products. Speaking about the company’s growth since the last Crowdcube round, the Cool Cold Brew team stated:
“Since our last Crowdcube campaign, we launched the range in May 2018 and have secured listings in over 150 locations with retailers including Amazon, The Vegan Kind, Muscle Food, Whole Foods Market and the range is soon to launch with Ocado. Our cold brews are also distributed by Tree of Life, The Health Store, Suma and more. We are also in discussions with other major retailers and foodservice groups.”
Cool Cold Brew also reported that it is planning to use the funds from the latest Crowdcube campaign to develop its current listings, unlock new listings, expand its team and bring new “industry-first” products to market. The initiative is set to close at the end of June.
