EstateGuru Adds Former BNP Paribas Executive to Supervisory Board

EstateGuru, a peer to peer lending platform that offers secured loans to SMEs, has appointed Gabriella Kindert to its Supervisory Board as an independent member. The move is described as being in line with the Fintech’s expansion strategy as the company strives to become the “biggest real estate financing platform in Europe by 2025.”

Kindert is said to be an expert in Alternative Credit and Private markets. She gained over 20 years of international experience in managing investment portfolios over the cycle for institutional investors while creating and successfully launching several innovative private market investment strategies.  According to EstateGuru, Kindert held various managerial positions at Fortis Investments, at BNP Paribas Asset Management as Global Head of Loans and at NN IP as Head of Alternative Credit. She holds an M.A. in History, Economics, an MBA in Accounting and Finance and a PhD in Finance Alternative Lending.

“I’m delighted to welcome Gabriella. She is a highly-valued expert in Private Markets and digital transformation in lending. EstateGuru is on the verge of a substantial breakthrough in geographical expansion and capital markets development. We couldn’t have found a better candidate to complement our team as we start the execution of our ambitious roadmap,” said Marek Pärtel, co-founder and CEO of EstateGuru. “Besides her professional qualifications, Gabriella is the perfect match for our team and our values. We at EstateGuru are all passionate about growth, both of the business and on a personal level. At EstateGuru you will meet people who are eager to learn something new every day. Gabriella has the same drive and passion for quality and technological disruption.”

Kindert said she is delighted to support EstateGuru in its future journey to be the leading European property-backed investment platform and support the funding needs of the real economy in these challenging times.

“The management team reflects a strong combination of industry knowledge, ambition, and entrepreneurial culture backed by leading VCs,”  Kindert stated. “EstateGuru achieved excellent results in the last years and has a definite, scalable technological advantage. I see a lot of further upside potential in several directions: expansion to new geographies, product base (for example, green loan products) and institutional investors that can benefit from a strong risk-adjusted return.”

EstateGuru is a pan-European marketplace providing access to credit. The company recently completed a securities crowdfunding round on Seedrs raising €923,518 at a pre-money valuation of over €28 million. Based in Estonia, the company employs 40 people from 9 different nationalities based in Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, Helsinki, and London.
