EstateGuru, an online investment marketplace that matches borrowers to investors with secured debt securities, has topped 100,000 investors, according to a post by its Chief Operating Officer.
Mihkel Stamm, who is a member of the Board as well as COO of EstateGuru, posted:
“Today, we are celebrating an incredible milestone in the history of EstateGuru.co. We have just welcomed investor number 100 000 to the platform! We are thrilled at how quickly our community is growing, as it took us just under seven years to reach 50 000 investors (June 2020). Now, a little more than a year later, we have doubled that number. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to every single one of our investors, all 100 000 of you (we obviously like saying that number). Your trust, faith in our business model, and passion for investing drive everything that we do.”
EstateGuru is based in Estonia but operates in multiple European countries.
Launched in 2013, in aggregate EstateGuru has originated loans in excess of €450 million funded by investors in 109 countries. The average return of these loans stands at 11.29%.
The average loan size stands at €160,000 with an average term of just 14 months.
While Estonia is the most active jurisdiction, other countries like Lithuania and Germany, and other countries, provide much of the lending volume. 2021 will be its best year for loan originations easily surpassing the prior year.
And yes, they do experience defaults with an aggregate rate of 3.51% but much is recovered with just 0.01% written off.
September was a solid month with loan originations at €21.2 million nearly beating the record that was set in March of 2021.
