WiseAlpha, a Fractional Bond Investment Platform, Raises Money on Crowdcube

WiseAlpha, an online investment platform providing access to corporate bonds based in the UK, is raising money on Crowdcube.

Offered to both EU and UK investors, WiseAlpha has already topped its initial funding hurdle of £500,000. As of today, £1.05 million has been raised from 712 investors. The offering page indicates that equity is being offered at a pre-money valuation of £41 million. The securities offering is qualified for tax relief under EIS. The offering on Crowdcube is part of a larger round that has already raised £614,402.

Previously, WiseAlpha raised money on Seedrs. In 2023, WiseAlpha offered equity in the company at a pre-money valuation of £38.8 million. This funding round closed, having raised £1.66 million.

WiseAlpha has been enabling investors to access the bond market with fractional securities since 2016. Since that time, the platform reports a cumulative amount traded of more than £100 million. WiseAlpha is the only fractional bond platform in the UK where smaller investors can participate for as little as £100. Investors accessing the marketplace must be high-net-worth investors, self-certified sophisticated investors, adviser investors, or investment professionals.

Currently, the bond marketplace reports over 150 corporate bonds in both pounds and euros. Recently, WiseAlpha has been promoting its partnering with wealth managers and banks to extend the marketplace to more investors. The company aims to integrate with more platforms going forward.

WiseAlpha says it will use the money raised to “hire additional developers, increase marketing, bolster capital, and invest in growing institutional partners.”

Additional information is available for registered users of Crowdcube and WiseAlpha.
