Watch: Bloomberg’s “Market Makers” Talk Equity Crowdfunding, Oculus Acquisition

It seems everyone has an opinion on Facebook’s acquisition of Oculus VR and what it means for crowdfunding. That was the topic of conversation on Bloomberg Television’s “Market Makers.” Yesterday the program hosted New York University Stern School of Business Professor Anindya Ghose and a discussion on the fallout from the acquisition.

Ghose says that Kickstarter, Indiegogo and others are “between a rock and a hard place,” presumably because of a problem with the alignment of interests between company leadership and their backers. He is also clearly bullish on a forthcoming federal exemption for equity crowdfunding.
