iFinding is kind of a unique entry in the real estate crowdfunding space as they have set up shop in the United States AND in Singapore (they also have a very cool iPhone app so you can invest on the run too).
Earlier this week Julian Kwan, CEO of iFunding Asia and one of the co-founders, hit the studios of CNBC Asia to spread the real estate crowdfunding gospel. Julian is leading the charge in Asia as they gear up to launch in 18 Asian countries – a pretty ambitious roll out I must say. The joint venture with the US headquarters was launched in 2013. iFunding is looking for investors who are willing to invest a minimum of $5000.00. To date they claim over $31 million raised. Julian states that Asia is a bit behind the United States and says that Asia is about 7 years behind. He gives a shout out to both Malaysia and New Zealand – two countries in the ASEAN region that are clearly leading the charge. iFunding is currently looking at returns of 8 to 20% – which isn’t that bad.
If you are interested in Asia and Real Estate – definitely worth 5 minutes of your time.
