Last month, founder of Halo Belt Vincent Pilot Ng launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to raise only $15,000 to create a timeless and stylish Bomber Barrel duffel bag. Within the first two days, the project managed to surpassed its initial goal and reached $46,730. Now, after its 30-day run on the crowdfunding platform, the duffel has scored over $428,000 thanks to nearly 5,100 backers.
As previously reported, the Bomber Barrel is known to redefine style by presenting itself in a modern and simple barrel structure: purely austere and clean. It is an ultra grade nylon duffel bag designed for today’s active man; the athlete, the adventurer, the professional or the minimalist. It was created to accommodate the lifestyles of the ambitious, the motivated and the driven. With its minimal design, lightweight and black-colored nylon ripstop; it’s endlessly versatile. The jet black color creates depth and radiates its bearer’s extravagant elegance.

During the final hours of bag’s crowdfunding campaign, Ng and his team took to the update section and wrote, “Today is the last day of our campaign. This really started out as just a passion project. We had no idea it was going to do $400K in funding. We’re extremely grateful to be able to accomplish something of this magnitude along with the Kickstarter community. We were able to bring a concept to the table and you guys have helped to make the bag even better with your suggestions. You guys really put the final touches to making the Bomber Barrel the BEST DAMN BAG EVER!

The team also shared, “We placed our order for 5,000 units of Bomber Barrel sets on Monday. This includes the Bomber Barrel bag, Mini Bomber Travelers kit, Bomber Cord Survival Bracelet, and all packaging in regards to the entire set. Since Kickstarter funds do not come in until 4-7 days after funding, we have decided to gather up our savings to place an early order on production. We figured if we were able to get production started early, we can start shipping out early to all the backers as well!
In regards to the bag’s shipment process, the team added, “We will be shipping out the packages via USPS Priority worldwide. For international backers, we will be marking the package as a ‘gift’ and a value of 7-12 USD (depending on the country) to avoid any customs fees or complications. It should be smooth sailing!
