Brief: Beauhurst Names Crowdcube Most Prolific Investor

On Tuesday, UK equity crowdfunding platform, Crowdcube, announced that it was named most prolific investor by research firm, Beauhurst.

powered now & crowdcube“According to Beauhurst’s recent report into the growth the e-commerce sector, Crowdcube have made the most investments, by deal numbers, into this sector during 2015. Out of the 216 equity fundraisings into 196  e-commerce companies during 2015, Crowdcube have funded 20, amounting to £8.99 million investment. According to the report, e-commerce investments have accounted for 26% of all Crowdcube fundraisings. Ranked in second place behind us was Index Ventures, funding six investments, which totalled £191 million. Other investors in the Top 10 list included Seedrs, Angels Den, Balderton Capital, DN Capital and Octopus Ventures.”

Last month, Beauhurst dubbed Crowdcube a top equity investor:
