World of Zing Seeks £150,000 on Crowdcube For New Production Facility

This week, World of Zing debuted its crowdfunding initiative on Crowdcube. The company is seeking £150,000. Launched in 2014 (although the company states it considers itself the pioneers of exotic and fine ingredients since 1968) by Pritesh Mody, World of Zing offers a range of both food and drink such as artisan condiments; craft cocktails and drinks; and herbs, spices, and seasonings.

world-of-zingWorld of Zing revealed that 50 of its products are listed at Whole woods and other London-based artisans delis. It has also served more than 50,000 cocktails to the Rosa’s Thai Cafe Group in six months. The company has also been featured on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, BBC News, The Independent, and The Guardian.

The World of Zing team stated:

“We have brought together some of the UK’s most exciting flavour experts – from chefs to street foodies and mixologists – to create an inspiring range of produce and ingredients to add a touch of ‘Zing’ to our everyday culinary lives!”

The crew also noted:

Having launched by Pritesh Mody in September 2014, World of Zing has become recognised amongst the UK’s most innovative food & drink producers. World of Zing can trace its roots and inspiration back to the launch of Pritesh’s family business Gandhi Oriental Foods, which is now famed for being one of the UK’s most respected spice merchants.”

Funds from the campaign will be used for World of Zing’s new production facility. The new building and equipment will reportedly fulfill the company’s demand and maximize retail listings. Funding will also go towards sales and marketing staff. The company is currently offering 15% in equity.

World of Zing’s Crowdcube is set to close at the end of October.
